Day 1 | Meet at the airport at 11am to board Air Malta flight to Milan. On arrival, meet up with our representatives Mariano or Eleonora (also owners of the chalet) for a private transfer to Chalet Trentino in Fiavè. Assignment of rooms and tour briefing followed by an evening meal at a restaurant nearby.
Day 2 | Breakfast followed by a visit to San Lorenzo, one of the most beautiful old villages in Italy. The next stop will be Molveno, where a cable car and chair lift (fee not included) are available to reach the mountain top for a breath-taking view of Lake Molveno surrounded by the spectacular Brenta Dolomites. Free time for a snack and short walk before going back down to the lake. Options for paddle boat/kayak hire will be available. Dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 3 | Breakfast followed by departure to the city of Trento – unique amongst the Alpine cities. Free time to visit the historical city-center with its magnificent Duomo, splendid piazza and fountain while roaming around its attractive narrow streets and museums. Next stop will be at the medieval castle of Stenico (entrance fee not included) for a guided tour. Following a short break at the Rio Bianco Waterfall, drive back to Fiavè to see the production of local honey. Dinner at a restaurant nearby the chalet.
Day 4 | Breakfast followed by excursion to visit the picturesque village of Pinzolo. Stop at the magnificent Cascate Nardis with time for a walk along the river and a light meal before returning to the Chalet. In the afternoon departure to Riva del Garda with free time for shopping and visiting the old historical center. A lift (fee not included) is available to go up near the bastion with a panoramic view of Lake Garda. Dinner (extra) in one of the many restaurants available in this area before heading back to the Chalet.
Day 5 | Breakfast followed by departure to Villa Canale, a beautiful Italian village, followed by a stop at Rifugio San Pietro offering a magnificent view above the village. Short break for a snack or light meal to taste the typical specialties of Trentino. Proceed to Varone Waterfall, a geological rarity. In the evening time to rest before having dinner at a nearby restaurant (extra).
Day 6 | Start off the day with testing archery skills on the grounds of the Chalet. Excursion to Val di Fumo in Adamello Brenta Park, a superb example of the glacier-shaping activity that molded these mountains with mighty force thousands of years ago. Free time for lunch followed by a pleasant walk along the lake. This forms part of a dam, ensuring breathtaking views all around. Dinner at restaurant close to the Chalet.
Day 7 | Excursion to Malga – a stone building in the mountains surrounded by lush greenery used for pasture in summer. Free time for lunch and a short walk in the vicinity, where one can explore the trenches used by soldiers during the first World War. Local cheese is produced in the area as well. Return to Fiavè for a guided tour of Museo delle Palafitte (entrance not included) – a fascinating museum giving insight into the lives of the people living in this area around 3800 – 3600 BC. This will be followed by a visit to La Torbiera, a UNESCO Heritage Site, where one can still see the piles on which these houses (Palafitte) were constructed at that time. Back to the Chalet to pack and change before dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day 8 | Breakfast followed by departure from Fiavè to Linate airport for direct flight to Malta departing at 3.40pm.
Please note that on Sundays, free time will be allocated for those who wish to attend Sunday mass in the village of Fiavè at 10.00am
All the excursions mentioned in the programme will take place, however the order of the days may be changed depending on weather conditions
