7 SEPTEMBER 2026 | OFF TO MACEDONIA!
For our first night in Macedonia we will be staying at the capital, Skopje. Upon arrival we will check-in at our hotel, and then settle in our rooms for a good rest. (Check-in opens at 3pm). Accommodation for the next 2 nights: Stonebridge Hotel or similar.
8 SEPTEMBER 2026 | MATKA CANYON (B=BREAKFAST)
Today we will leave the city and head to the Macedonian countryside. Our first place to explore is Matka Canyon, a natural gem located just 15kms away from Skopje. Described as an enchanting place, mountains roll steeply to the gorge filled with emerald green waters. It covers 5000 hectares of breathtaking scenery and it is one of the most captivating places this country has to offer.
We will spend our morning discovering picturesque sites. We will kayak on the river Treska and enjoy a short hike in the canyon. From here, we will take small boats to visit Vrelo cave and explore its beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, before we sail back. Lunch (extra) will be served by
the lake, which will give us time to relax and take in this natural beauty.
Vodno comes next! Upon arrival we will take a cable car to the top. Here, you can take a pleasant walk to enjoy the amazing views of Skopje. After a full day out, we will head to the hotel for a quick shower, and the evening will be free to enjoy the charming Balkan capital towering warrior statues, gleaming, enormous neoclassical buildings, and hypnotic mega fountains.
9 SEPTEMBER 2026 | THE PEARL OF THE MALESOVO MOUNTAINS (B, L=LUNCH)
Breakfast will be served and then we will head to the small village of Kuklica, to admire amazing geological formations dating back 10 million years. Close by is the unique town of Kratovo, where its people are known for preparing some of the most delicious traditional dishes in the country! You are invited to a home hosted meal to savour Macedonian delicacies!
After a hearty meal we will head to our final destination for today, Berovo! Close to town lies a mysterious, and peaceful lake known as the pearl of the Malesovo Mountains. We will allow time to explore the lake as we marvel at all that beauty that is a paradise for the eyes and soul. Later this evening we will stroll through town before we tick ourselves in after another fantastic day together!

10 SEPTEMBER 2026 | WATERFALLS AND WINE (B, L, D=DINNER)
Today we will explore the highest waterfall in Macedonia, Smolare waterfall, a special treasure hidden among trees! We will follow a trail and climb a number of steps. The path is an opportunity to witness the wonderful natural beauty around us whilst enjoying views of Strumica valley below. At the top we will be rewarded by the most beautiful sight!
We will then visit the village of Gabrovo. Like most villages in Macedonia, Gabrovo is a small village where hospitable locals preserve the rural tradition. We will visit a family farm house where traditional Macedonian food and drinks from this region will be served. In the afternoon we will enjoy a walk through heavenly beauties, and the green and lush path to St Elijah monastery. The beautiful nature and diverse vivid landscape offers a great opportunity for picture perfect photography!
This evening, prepare yourselves for a special evening together! We will overnight in the wine region of Tikvesh so Isuppose you have already guessed what we have planned for you. We will be staying in a winery hotel! Dinner will be served in a local winery including wine tasting, because once in Macedonia, we will do as the Macedonians do!

11 SEPTEMBER 2026 | ADVENTURE AWAITS! (B, L, D)
After breakfast we drive to the biggest archaeological site in Macedonia, Stobi. After having tasted the local wine, we ought to learn the secrets of the wine making process in Macedonia. We will visit a local winery and enjoy a tour around this beautiful estate!
Then, we will head to our final destination for today, Bitola. But our day is not over yet! We will hop on 4×4 vehicles for a 4×4 thrilling activity! This is a great opportunity to come in touch with the rich cultural and natural heritage of the least populated region in Macedonia. We will drive through villages, enjoy panoramic stops to photograph the beautiful landscapes surrounding us, and continue through the canyon of Crna River. This evening we will enjoy a home hosted dinner in the village of Dihovo, before we head to our hotel for a good rest.

12 SEPTEMBER 2026 | AN AUTHENTIC VILLAGE EXPERIENCE (B, L)
Today we will spend our day exploring the traditional Kuratica village, meeting locals and experiencing the local village life.
We will take a walk around the small village where only 300 inhabitants reside, but is still bustling with life. Donkeys will accompany us and we will have the opportunity to take the friendly animals out for a walk, just like the local farmer does every day to keep his animals active and healthy! The language spoken here is of course Macedonian, but villagers are interested in sharpening their English language skills so they will be happy to have a heartfelt conversation, sharing experiences! We will spend the rest of the afternoon here taking in the village life before we continue to Ohrid.
This evening, we will relax at our beachfront hotel and then you can choose your preferred restaurant for dinner.

13 SEPTEMBER 2026 | ON THE WATER! (B)
We will start our day by exploring the charming city or Ohrid. Strolling through the narrow streets of the old town, we will discover the central square and the Cathedral church, visiting local sites and the famous Samuel Fortress. We will go back to the centre and here we will allocate some free
time to enjoy lunch and some shopping.
This afternoon, we will hop on a boat and sail to the monastery of St. Naum. On our way, we will visit the “Museum on water” which is a reconstruction of a pre-historic Palaeolithic settlement. We will arrive at the monastery of St. Naum and then we will head to the springs taking a small boat ride on the crystal clear lake that these springs are forming, before we sail back to Ohrid.
14 SEPTEMBER 2026 | MAVROVO NATIONAL PARK (B, L)
It is our last day but our adventure is not over yet! Our exploration today is Mavrovo National Park, the largest of the 4 national parks in Macedonia. It is characterised by deep canyons, lakes and dense forests that abound with diverse wildlife.
We will first drive to village of Vevchani, to explore the Vevchani springs. From Vevchani we will make our way to Rostushe, where we will enjoy a walk to the beautiful waterfall, Duf. Our drive through Mavrovo National Park will be breathtaking! Here, we will stop for lunch by the lake where we will cherish all the beautiful memories shared and raise a glass for the friendships made!
