Christmas Markets in Fiavè

Wednesday | Meet at the airport at 10.30am to board our Air Malta flight to Milan.  On arrival, meet up with our representatives Mariano or Eleonora (and owners of the chalet) for a private transfer to Chalet Trentino in Fiavè.  Assignment of rooms and tour briefing followed by an evening meal at a restaurant nearby (optional).

Thursday | After breakfast join our day excursion as we visit the city of Trento – unique amongst the Alpine cities.  From mid-November onwards, the streets of Trento are decorated with festive lights and in two locations in the Town Town, picturesque wooden huts are set up for the Christmas Market. In Piazza Fiera and Piazza Cesare Battisti, local handcrafted items, gifts, Christmas decorations and Trentino delicacies can be purchased. Apart from the markets we suggest you also visit the historical centre with its magnificent Duomo, splendid piazza and fountain while roaming around its attractive narrow streets and museums.  We return to the Chalet in time for dinner in a nearby restaurant (optional).

Friday | Following breakfast join the day excursion as we visit 3 beautiful towns on Lake Garda.  First stop is at the quaint town of Arco to visit the Christmas market stalls. We then head to Limone sul Garda, for a walk on the “Nuova Ciclopedonale sul Garda” a walk which clings to the side of the rock so you literally walk over Lake Garda – an experience not to be missed! We then proceed to Riva del Garda with time to eat and a walk around the old centre and visit a small shopping centre. As we return to the Chalet, we shall stop for a short stop in the old village of Canale di Tenno. After free time to rest and change enjoy your dinner at a restaurant/pizzeria outside Fiavè (extra).

Saturday | Breakfast followed by a visit to Castel Beseno (entr. extra), the largest fortified structure in the Trentino region, dating back to the 12th century. We then visit the town of Levico Terme, a popular holiday destination during the era of Princess Sissi and the Habsburgs.  Free time to experience the Christmas market in an ancient fairytale setting inside the evocative Habsburg Park. We return to the Chalet in time for dinner at a restaurant nearby the chalet (optional).

Sunday | After breakfast, today we shall visit the beautiful village of Rango, with its charming Christmas market considered to be one of the most picturesque markets of the region, selling handicrafts and local products. We then proceed to Varone Waterfall, a real geological rarity (entrance fee not included). We return to our Chalet for some free time followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant (optional).

Monday | After a relaxed breakfast we depart from Fiavè to Milan Linate airport for our flight back to Malta departing at 3.15pm.  Arrival in Malta at 5.05pm.
