Fiavè

Day 1  |  Meet at the airport at 10.30am for check-in of our direct Airmalta flight to Milan Linate. On arrival you will be met by our representatives (Mariano or Eleonora) who will transfer you to Fiavè by private minivan. After settling down in Chalet Trentino, you will be briefed about the tour, followed by an evening meal in a restaurant nearby at Fiavè (extra).

Day 2  |  After breakfast, those wishing to attend Sunday mass can do so in the village of Fiavè at 9.30am. After mass our tour takes us to visit Villa Canale, known as one of the “Borghi più Belli d’Italia” (Italy’s most beautiful villages), before proceeding by van to Rifugio San Pietro above the village, with a magnificent view.  Here, one may take a light snack or meal to taste the typical specialties of Trentino. From here we proceed to visit the Varone Waterfall – a real geological rarity. Back to the Chalet and later have your evening meal at a restaurant at Fiavè (extra). (For Group 1, this day shall be on Day 3)

Day 3  |  Today we visit the city of Trento – unique amongst the Alpine cities. Time to visit the historical city-centre with its magnificent Duomo and splendid piazza, while strolling around the city-centre’s alleys, enjoying shopping or visiting the city’s museums such as the Buonconsiglio Castle (extra).  After we return to Fiavè for a guided tour of the Museo delle Palafitte (entrance extra) – a fascinating museum, which gives you an insight into the lives of the people living in this area around 3800-3600BC. We then visit La Torbiera, a UNESCO Heritage Site, where one can still see the piles on which these houses (Palafitte) were constructed at that time before returning to the Chalet and later have our evening meal at a restaurant at Fiavè (extra).

Day 4  |  After breakfast we start by visiting the old village of San Lorenzo known as one of the most beautiful old villages in Italy “I borghi più belli d’Italia”.  After we proceed to Molveno to catch the cable car and chair lift (fee not included) to reach the mountain top for a breath-taking view of Lake Molveno surrounded by the most spectacular mountains  – the Brenta Dolomites. From here we proceed by van for a guided tour of the medieval castle of Stenico (entrance fee not included) and visit the Rio Bianco Waterfall. Back to the Chalet for time to rest followed by your evening meal at a restaurant / pizzeria nearby (not included).   

Day 5 |  Today we head for the picturesque village of Pinzolo from where we then proceed to see the magnificent Cascate Nardis.  Time for a walk along the river and for a snack or light meal at before returning to the Chalet.  Late afternoon we leave for Riva del Garda with time for some shopping and to visit the old historical centre before having your evening meal (not included) in one of the many restaurants.

Day 6  |  After breakfast we will try our skills at archery on the grounds of the Chalet.  Then our excursion takes us to Val Nambrone.  You will begin with a lovely easy relaxing stroll in this beautiful area immersed in nature passing by the Amola Waterfall. After you will have time to eat or have a snack (extra) continue going up the mountain by van until you arrive at the two lakes of Cornisello.  Back to Chalet Trentino with time to rest and change before having your evening meal at a restaurant at Fiavè (optional).

Day 7  |  After breakfast we leave to visit the picturesque village of Rango known as one of the “Borghi più Belli d’Italia” (Italy’s most beautiful villages), before proceeding by van to visit a Malga – a stone building found in the mountains, which is surrounded by greenery and is used for pasture in summer.  Upon our arrival you have time for a snack or meal (extra) before we go for a short walk in the vicinity which leads to the trenches used by the soldiers during WW1.  Following this, we stop at the Malga where, those who wish, may buy some of the cheese which is produced daily at the Malga itself before returning to Fiavè where we stop to see the production of local honey and where one can also buy some good genuine honey and some lovely souvenirs. Back to the Chalet where you have time to pack and change before having your evening meal at a restaurant at Fiavè (optional).

Day 8  |  After a light breakfast, departure from Fiavè to travel to Milan Linate airport for your direct AirMalta flight departing at 3.25pm, arriving in Malta at 5.15pm.
