Friday 22 March | Meet your tour-leader at the airport at 3.45am for our charter flight to Athens departing at 5.45 am. After arrival, coach transfer to Athens Lavrion port for embarkation on our cruise ship. Explore the elegant cruise ship Celestyal Discovery, which reflects and celebrates Greek heritage and warm hospitality! We set sail at 11am heading for Mykonos. Enjoy the bright and airy lounges and restaurants before arrival at 4pm. Enjoy this jewel of an island and the most recognisable sight of the row of immaculate picture postcard white windmills overlooking the sea, Departure from beautiful Mykonos is set for 11pm.
Saturday 23 March | After a stupendous breakfast explore our next stop, this time in Kusadasi (Turkey). You may wish to join an excursion visiting the famed remains of Ephesus organised by the onboard ship’s entertainment team. We set sail at 12.30pm and your time on board will seem unhurried and relaxed before the ship arrives at the island of Patmos at about 4pm. A fortress-like, 11th-century monastery dedicated to St John overlooks the whitewashed houses of the hilltop capital, Hora. Join one of the interesting excursions offered by Celestyal or explore the town of Skala, the island’s main harbour and commercial center. We depart Patmos at 9pm as we sail towards the famous Santorini!
Sunday 24 March | Enjoy an early breakfast as we arrive in Santorini. Few islands have the power to captivate the way Santorini does. Gorgeous and cosmopolitan, it’s famous for that classic Greek island look with white painted houses clustered along narrow winding lanes, perched atop reddish-black volcanic cliffs that tumble down more than a thousand feet to the wide caldera. Enough time to explore the island as we shall remain in Santorini until 8pm.
Monday 25 March | Following early breakfast and disembarkation, our coach shall transfer us to the capital where we shall enjoy a city tour. Free time to view the Acropolis (entr. not incl.) followed by a stop at Monastiraki, one of the most picturesque neighbourhoods of Athens, with narrow streets and a labyrinth of crossing alleys and Plaka with its village feel and cobblestone streets lined with tiny shops selling jewellery, clothes and local ceramics. We shall also see Syntagma Square which is the central square of Athens, before some free time in a shopping mall. Late evening transfer to Athens airport for check-in of our charter flight which departs at 7.30pm and arrival in Malta is expected at 08.00pm.
