FRIDAY 04 JUNE

Meet your tour leader at 0400hrs at the Malta International Airport for check-in and your flight to Zagreb. Upon arrival, continue to Varaždin, the charming “City of Angels” situated along the Drava River. Later, visit a traditional pumpkin seed oil farm, where you can taste and purchase their fine local produce. In the afternoon, proceed to Moravske Toplice and check in at your thermal spa hotel. Join your tour leader for a short orientation walk before relaxing in the thermal pools, followed by buffet dinner.

SATURDAY 05 JUNE

Soon after buffet breakfast your tour leader for a visit to Graz, Austria’s second-largest city, renowned as the “City of Design”. Enjoy some free time for personal sightseeing and lunch (not included) before proceeding to Seiersberg Shopping Mall for some shopping. Return to the hotel and enjoy a relaxing dip in the thermal pools before buffet dinner.

SUNDAY 06 JUNE

After breakfast, visit Bukovniško Jezero in the Goričko Landscape Park and enjoy a pleasant forest walk to the lake. Later, visit the Vinarium Lendava Observation Tower (included), where you can admire panoramic views across the landscapes of Slovenia, Croatia, Austria and Hungary. In the afternoon, you will be invited (optional) to join your tour leader for an optional visit to a renowned local wine house, including a tour of the wine cellar and a tasting of five wines accompanied by homemade cold cuts from the family farm. The experience concludes with traditional Grandma’s Retasi, a filo pastry strudel prepared from a treasured family recipe. Return to the hotel and enjoy the thermal pools before dinner.

MONDAY 07 JUNE

Happy Feast! After breakfast, check out and travel to the medieval town of Ptuj. Visit Ptuj Castle (entrance included); a scenic 12th-century hilltop fortress overlooking the Drava River. Later, take a walk through the town centre, passing ancient Roman monuments and magnificent medieval façades. Enjoy some free time for lunch (not included) before transferring to Zagreb Airport for your return flight to Malta, departing at 2010hrs.
