Livigno

DAY 1

Meet your tour leader at 1030hrs at the Malta International Airport for your direct flight to Milan. Upon arrival head towards your centrally located hotel in the centre of this tax-free haven that is Livigno for check-in and room allocation.

DAY 2

Soon after breakfast join your fellow group members for a leisurely walk around Livigno where the tour leader will inform you of a myriad of dining options all close to your hotel that suits all tastes and pockets. You will also admire the towering peaks of Mount Mottolino and Mount Carosello on either side of the valley. Later you may also want to join the tour leader for a cable ride (extra) to the summit for a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and villages below.

DAY 3

Today you are enticed for an optional full day excursion to the beautiful neighbouring country of Austria. Start by driving to Landeck, the most westerly town of Tyrol that is guarded by its titular castle. The lively town centre offers a mix of cosy bars, little shops and old townhouses. Later stop at the iconic submerged village of Curon, where only the church steeple rises above the waters of Lake Resia. Your journey continues to the small, fortified town of Glorenza.

DAY 4

Soon after breakfast, join your fellow travellers for a full day optional excursion to Switzerland. Visit the impressive Alpine towns of Davos and Klosters, including a walk around Lake Davos. A stop at the top of the Flüela Pass, offering breathtaking views will also be included.

DAY 5

After breakfast, join your fellow group members on what is regarded by many as the highlight of this vacation. Start by driving towards Poschiavo to board one of the world’s famous railway journeys (extra) on the Bernina Train Line. This unforgettable slow-moving train winds through mountains, across glaciers, and past stunning lakes, reaching the Morteratsch Glacier. Later continue by coach to the world-famous resort of St. Moritz, playground of the rich and famous, before heading towards Livigno not before admiring the beautiful lakes of Champfèr, Sils, and Silvaplana.

DAY 6

Today you are invited on an optional half day excursion to Bormio, set in a wide, sunlit valley amongst the peaks of surrounding by the Alpine mountains and renowned for its charming and medieval centre that bear witness to centuries of history. The afternoon is free at leisure, where you can enjoy some well-deserved shopping time in one (or more) of the many duty-free shops in Livigno.

DAY 7

Enjoy your last full day in Livigno at your own pace. You may wish to take a relaxing walk along Lake Livigno, soaking in the peaceful Alpine surroundings, or visit the ‘Latteria’, where fresh dairy products including cheese, yoghurt and ice-cream are produced.

DAY 8

After breakfast and checkout, head towards Milan for your 1535hrs flight back to Malta. As your journey comes to an end, take with you beautiful memories, unforgettable moments, and a photo gallery overflowing with highlights from this incredible escape.
