SATURDAY
Meet your tour leader at 1000hrs at the Malta International Airport in time for check-in of your flight to Milan, departing at 1225hrs. Upon arrival, transfer by coach to Livigno, travelling along the magnificent Lake Como, through the scenic vineyards of the Valtellina, and past the beautiful Basilica in Tirano. Check-in at our hotel, ideally located in the heart of the village will be followed by dinner before overnight.
SUNDAY
After breakfast, explore the unique charm of Livigno on foot. Enjoy a gentle walk with no uphill climbs, taking in the impressive peaks of Mount Mottolino and Mount Carosello that frame the valley. Those who wish, may join the tour leader for a cable car ride up to the very top of Mount Carosello (extra) for some breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon ample free time to stroll through Livigno’s delightful town centre.
MONDAY
Today, after breakfast join your tour leader and fellow travel companions for a full day excursion to Switzerland. Start your day by taking the funicular up to Muottas Muragl (extra), whilst enjoying panoramic views as it climbs the mountain. Guests who prefer not to take the funicular may stay in the charming town of Samedan for some leisure time and shopping. Later continue to St. Moritz for lunch and free time to relax in this elegant Alpine resort.
For Tour 1, instead of the Mouttas Muragl funicular, you shall be taking the Corvash Cable Car (extra). Guest who prefers not to take the cable car can grab a coffee or a refreshing drink at the base camp.
TUESDAY
Join your tour leader for a day excursion to neighbouring South Tyrol. Travel to Merano, one of the most picturesque towns and later visit the fortified medieval town of Glorenza, considered as one of the smallest towns in Europe with its 800 inhabitants,
WEDNESDAY
Soon after breakfast head to Tirano before boarding one of the world’s most scenic train journeys – the Bernina Train Line. This iconic red train travels slowly through towering mountains, across glaciers, and past stunning alpine lakes, eventually reaching Pontresina.
THURSDAY
Today visit the nearby town of Bormio, known for its charming medieval centre with cobbled streets and chic boutiques. An optional visit to the renowned Bormio Thermal Baths is available (extra – not included – to be paid on site – See Page 8).
FRIDAY
Join your tour leader and fellow travel companions on an optional visit (on foot) to the Latteria in Livigno, where fresh dairy products such as cheese, yoghurt, and ice cream are produced. In the afternoon, enjoy free time for a multitude of winter activities.
SATURDAY
Enjoy an early breakfast before travelling back to Milan in time for your flight departing at 1515hrs.
