SATURDAY 05 DECEMBER
Your winter escape begins as you meet your tour leader at Malta International Airport for your direct flight to Kraków, departing at 1035 hrs. On arrival, enjoy a scenic transfer to Zakopane, a charming mountain resort at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Discover the village during an orientation walk along its lively main street, lined with traditional shops, cafés, and festive Christmas stalls. Later check in to your centrally located hotel. In the evening, you may opt for a traditional Polish folklore dinner with music and local cuisine.
SUNDAY 06 DECEMBER
After breakfast, travel into Slovakia through spectacular mountain scenery. Arrive at Bachledova Valley and take the cable car (included) to Magura Spišská Mountain. Walk along the 600-metre Treetop Walk (included), ending at a panoramic observation tower. Continue to Starý Smokovec and take the funicular (included) to Hrebienok, with time to enjoy the alpine setting and optional lunch. Later, visit the picturesque glacial lake of Štrbské Pleso, surrounded by the High Tatras.
MONDAY 07 DECEMBER
Following breakfast, take in panoramic views with a ride on the Gubałówka funicular (included), offering stunning vistas of snow-covered peaks. Later visit Witów to experience local traditions and taste the famous smoked sheep cheese, oscypek. Continue to Chochołów, known for its preserved wooden houses. Relax at the Chochołowskie Thermal Baths (included), featuring indoor and outdoor pools with mountain views. In the evening, you may join an optional Kulig experience—a horse-drawn sleigh ride through a snowy valley, followed by a campfire evening with food, drinks, and live music.
TUESDAY 08 DECEMBER (PH)
After breakfast and check-out return to Kraków. Stop at Galeria Krakowska for shopping. You may then join your tour leader for an optional Vistula River cruise with views of the Old Town and Jewish Quarter, followed by optional lunch. Later, transfer to the airport for your return flight to Malta, departing at 19:40hrs—ending your magical winter escape.
