Sicily by Air

SATURDAY | Meet at the airport at 3.45am for our Air Malta flight to Catania departing at 5.55am. Upon arrival we visit Catania centre followed by some time at Centro Sicilia for shopping.  We then proceed to the city of Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its Baroque architecture.  Transfer to our 4* hotel in Frigintini – Le Magnolie Hotel (or similar) for check-in and dinner (included)*.

SUNDAY | Breakfast followed by a visit to Modica where we will enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the town before proceeding to Modica Bassa, the historical centre. Many Montalbano scenes were shot here including the Duomo, the Jewish quarter and the Corso. We will also have the chance to taste the famous Modican chocolate. We then proceed to a charming Val di Noto city, Scicli, before we make our way to the hotel for lunch (included)*.  In the afternoon, we head to Ragusa Ibla where we will have free time to visit the Corso, the Duomo di San Giorgio, the Botanical Gardens and try one of the local restaurants for dinner (extra).

MONDAY (Public Holiday) | Early breakfast followed by check-out. Our last day in Sicily will start by visiting an oil factory and then proceeding to a goat farm (entrance ticket – extra). We then visit an Agriturismo where we will have a delicious typical Sicilian lunch (extra).  Late afternoon, we leave for our last excursion to the quaint island of Ortigia, in the historical heart of Siracusa. One of the most famous squares in Sicily, Piazza Duomo, can be found in this beautiful city, surrounded by magnificent baroque palaces, where you will have time to relax, sit down for a drink and enjoy the atmosphere.  Our private coach will then take us to the airport for our flight back to Malta which departs Catania at 11.25pm, landing at 00.05am.

*Lunch/Dinner will be served at a restaurant 500m away from hotel (approximately 5 minutes away by walk).
