FRIDAY 05 FEBRUARY

Meet your tour leader at 1000hrs at Malta International Airport for check-in for your flight to Zagreb. Upon arrival, board your private coach and travel to Lake Jasna, a pair of interconnected alpine lakes set amidst at the foot of the Vršič Pass. Continue to Kranjska Gora, one of Slovenia’s most picturesque resorts, located at the meeting point of Slovenia, Italy and Austria. Upon arrival, check-in and room allocation at your hotel, followed by dinner and overnight accommodation.

SATURDAY 06 FEBRUARY

Following breakfast, join your tour leader for an excursion to Lake Bled and visit the imposing Bled Castle, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the lake. You may then choose to board a traditional Pletna boat (extra) to Bled Island, where you can visit the Church of the Assumption of Mary (donation not included), ring the wishing bell, or simply enjoy a coffee and traditional Potica cake. Later, enjoy a walking tour of Bled and some free time. Be sure to sample the famous Kremsnita cream cake before continuing to Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest natural lake, renowned for its unspoilt scenery. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

SUNDAY 07 FEBRUARY

After breakfast, travel to the medieval town of Radovljica. Stroll through its charming old town, lined with museums, galleries and cafés, before enjoying some free time. Those interested may opt to visit the Gingerbread Museum (extra). Continue to Škofja Loka, one of Slovenia’s best-preserved medieval towns, for a stroll through its historic centre and free time for lunch (not included). Later, proceed to Kropa, a charming village in the foothills of the Julian Alps, famous for its centuries-old iron-forging tradition. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

MONDAY 08 FEBRUARY

Following breakfast, cross into neighbouring Austria and travel to Velden, beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Wörthersee in Carinthia. Here, you may choose to enjoy an optional tourist train ride (extra). Later continue to Pyramidenkogel, home to the world’s tallest wooden observation tower. Ascend via the panoramic lift and admire breathtaking views across lakes, forests and mountains. Proceed to Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia, where you will enjoy a walking tour featuring Neuer Platz and the iconic Lindwurm Dragon monument, followed by free time. Alternatively, visit the City-Arkaden Shopping Mall before returning to the hotel for dinner.

TUESDAY 09 FEBRUARY

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion to the beautiful Laghi di Fusine, a pair of glacial lakes famed for their crystal-clear waters and stunning Alpine scenery. The journey continues to Monte Lussari, ascending to 1,800 metres above sea level via a modern cable car (included). At the summit, admire unforgettable views across the Julian Alps whilst enjoying lunch or a drink. Later, return to the hotel where you may wish to relax in the indoor pool before dinner and overnight accommodation.

WEDNESDAY 10 FEBRUARY [PH]

Happy Feast Day! Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and travel to Brezje, Slovenia’s most important Catholic pilgrimage destination, renowned for its Basilica of Mary Help of Christians. Later, continue to Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city. Upon arrival, you may opt to join your tour leader for a walking tour of the historic centre, including the Cathedral and Ban Josip Jelačić Square, the lively heart of the city. Enjoy free time for lunch, shopping or independent exploration before transferring to Zagreb Airport for check-in for your return flight to Malta, departing at 2155hrs.
