Tatra Mountains Grandeur

SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER

Meet your tour leader at 0815hrs for your direct flight to Kraków, departing at 1035hrs. Upon arrival, join your tour leader for a Vistula River cruise (optional), offering scenic views of Kraków’s Old Town and Jewish Quarter, followed by lunch at a riverside restaurant (optional). Later, enjoy free time for shopping at Galeria Krakowska, featuring leading international brands. Then head to Zakopane, a charming town at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, for hotel check-in.

SUNDAY 01 NOVEMBER

After breakfast, join your tour leader for an orientation walk along Zakopane’s main street, discovering local attractions, cafés, and restaurants. Later, take the Gubałówka funicular (included) for panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains and surrounding villages. In the afternoon, travel to Poronin, a picturesque mountain village, to visit the Poronin Skywalk (included). Enjoy a scenic walk along the 854-metre wooden pathway featuring suspended walkways, glass terraces, and interactive areas with spectacular views. In the evening, you may join the (optional) traditional Polish folklore dinner with lively music in a local restaurant.

MONDAY 02 NOVEMBER

Following breakfast, proceed to Morskie Oko, one of Poland’s most beautiful alpine lakes, located within the Tatra National Park. You may opt for a horse-drawn carriage ride (optional), followed by a 1.5 km walk to the lake—perfect for photos. Enjoy free time for lunch by the lakeside (not included) before returning by carriage to the park entrance. In the afternoon, visit Chochołów, known for its well-preserved wooden houses. Relax at the Chochołów Thermal Baths (included), Poland’s largest thermal complex, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, mineral zones, hydromassage stations, and poolside bars with mountain views. Changing rooms and lockers are available. Do bring your swimsuit, towel, and flip-flops.

TUESDAY 03 NOVEMBER

After breakfast, travel to Slovakia, enjoying scenic views en route to Štrbské Pleso – a picturesque glacial lake in the High Tatras. Continue to Stary Smokovec, a popular resort village within the High Tatras National Park. Take the funicular (included) to Hrebienok, where you can admire alpine scenery and enjoy optional lunch with traditional Slovak cuisine. In the afternoon, proceed to Poprad, a charming town known as the gateway to the High Tatras.

WEDNESDAY 04 NOVEMBER

After breakfast, check out and travel to Wieliczka for a guided visit to the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mines (included). Descend approximately 800 steps (with intervals) and explore underground chambers, chapels, sculptures, and the Chapel of St. Kinga with a local English-speaking guide. Later, enjoy an (optional) lunch before heading to Kraków Airport for your return flight to Malta, departing at 1650hrs.
