Programe

DAY 1 | Head to the Malta International Airport at 1200hrs noon in time for your direct flight to Casablanca departing at 1400hrs. Upon Arrival, your private transfer awaits you towards your hotel in central Casablanca for overnight.

DAY 2 | After breakfast start your day with a stop outside the famous Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca before continuing your trip to Rabat, the capital city of Morrocco overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Hassan tower which stands on the hill overlooking the Wadi Bou Regreg. Later continue your way towards Chefchaouen for your overnight stay. (B)

DAY 3 | After breakfast enjoy your free morning roaming around Chefchaouen. In the early afternoon, board your organised transfer towards Fez in time for your overnight in Fez. (B)

DAY 4 | Soon after breakfast, join the guided walking tour to discover the narrow-cobbled streets of the medina of Fez. Visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fez including the leather tannery. Later head towards Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where you will have the opportunity to hand feed the monkeys before reaching Midelt in time for dinner before overnight. DAY 5 | Today, start your way towards the Sahara Desert but not before your hearty breakfast. Enroute you’ll pass through Ziz valley which is particularly known for its palm trees and the length of its oasis. All along the road, there are innumerable small villages. From here you reach Erfoud, famous for its fossils before arriving at the Luxury Merzouga Sahara Desert Camp. Upon arrival join your fellow travellers in a pleasant camel ride included over the sand dune. After dinner and as night falls, listen to the beat of Berber drum music around the campfire, before sleeping under the stars in your private Luxury tent. (B,D)

DAY 6 | An early morning awaits you today as you take in the magnificent views of the sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast and checkout head to the nearby Khamilla Village, a little desert village with a big story. Learn about there slave descendants and the importance of there music. A traditional berber lunch can also be organised (extra). Later continue your way towards Merzouga village for check-in, room allocation, free time in the pool, dinner and overnight. (B,D)

DAY 7 | After breakfast and check out continue your journey towards the gorgeous canyons of Todra Gorge traveling along the rugged Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. This area has long been a popular location for Hollywood films such as The Last Temptation of Christ and Jewel of the Nile. At Todra, s springs of water run between the rocks of its high walls of pink and grey. Afterwards continue travelling the Valley of roses before reaching Kelaa M’Gounam, the Moroccan centre for roses and rose products. Later drive through the Road of 1000 Kasbahs and the Skoura palm oasis before you reach Ouarzazate in time for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

DAY 8 | Following your breakfast, continue with a visit to the UNESCO protected site of Ait Benhaddou. Afterwards, start heading towards Marrakech through the majestic Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass of Tizi Tichka at an altitude of 2260 meters, offering impressive views of valleys, mountains, and many Berber villages nearby. On arrival to Marrakech, join the group for a walking tour that starts from the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque. You will also visit the world-famous Jemaa el Fna Square and its nearby souks which houses an array of food, snake charmers and local musicians. (B)

DAY 9 | Early morning wakeup for the optional (and extra) Hot Air Balloon ride, followed by breakfast. Soon afterwards join your tour leader for a day trip to the beautiful Ouzoud Falls, the highest waterfall in North Africa. Drive through a landscape of rolling foothills and olive groves and enjoy your free time to relax by the 110-meter waterfalls, visit the cafes at the edge of the water, or check out the Barbary apes that live in the lush river valley. Return back to the hotel in Marrakech. (B)

DAY 10 | After breakfast and checkout, embark on your last transfer towards Casablanca in time for your direct flight back to Malta departing at 1730hrs. (B)
