Wednesday

Check in at Malta International Airport for your 0940hrs flight to Zurich. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed in the arrivals hall by your Maltese host, Eugenio. Set off in a private minivan for a scenic drive to your hotel in Hilzingen, Germany. Later, rejoin Eugenio for your first unforgettable excursion into the enchanting Black Forest. Discover the charming town of Triberg, home to Germany’s highest waterfalls (entrance included), and enjoy time at leisure to explore and browse for traditional souvenirs such as cuckoo clocks or indulge in a slice of authentic Black Forest cake. Afterwards continue onward to the idyllic Lake Titisee, where you can enjoy a leisurely lakeside stroll or opt for a relaxing pedal boat ride (not included) across the crystal-clear waters. Optional dinner arrangements can be made through your host.

Thursday

After breakfast, travel to Stein am Rhein to explore its medieval old town with painted facades and half-timbered houses. Visit St. George’s Abbey and visit the Lindwurm Museum (included). Next, experience the Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfalls, including an exciting boat trip (included). Later continue to Schaffhausen to visit Munot Fortress, All Saints Abbey, cloister, herb garden, and main squares. In the evening, enjoy an exclusive private garden dinner featuring a Swiss raclette experience at your host’s private residence.

Friday

Soon after breakfast travel to Kriens and take the cable car to Mount Pilatus (extra). Enjoy panoramic views and walk the Dragon Trail. Continue to Lucerne for a city walk about including the Chapel Bridge, Water Tower, Spreuer Bridge, Needle Dam, Town Hall, and Lake Lucerne promenade.

Saturday

Today you are invited for a full German excursion. Visit Meersburg on Lake Constance, exploring the old town and castle and then take the ferry to Mainau Island also know as the Flower Island (entrance exta). Take time to enjoy the gardens and Butterfly House. Continue to Constance for a city walk about including the promenade, Imperia Statue, Kaiserbrunnen Fountain, and the Cathedral of Our Lady.

Sunday

Today, on this designated International Day, travel to Appenzell in Switzerland and stroll through its colourful town centre. Continue via the Rhine Valley to Bregenz, Austria. Take the cable car to Mount Pfänder (extra) for stunning views of Lake Constance and the Alps. Walk along the lake before heading to Lindau, Germany. Explore Lindau Island’s historic centre, harbor, lighthouse, and promenade.

Monday

After breakfast and room check-out, head to Zurich Airport. From there, board a short train ride towards the centre of Zurich, where you will explore most of the city’s highlights: including the elegant Bahnhofstrasse, the shores of Lake Zurich, and the charming Old Town, before returning by train to the airport for your flight to Malta, arriving around 2030hrs.
